The BAW Institut für regionale Wirtschaftsforschung GmbH (Regional Economic Research Institute) is the regional economic competency centre in Northern Germany. Politicians and administration, organisations and networks in the field of economic business, as well as companies, need the consulting services of the BAW institute. Our focus : regional economic competition. Our main points of emphasis are the challenges of communities, regions and companies within the framework of European regional economic competition. We draft, support and evaluate programmes and projects and we analyse prevailing conditions as well as trends and establish benchmarks for the increase of competitiveness. Maritime locations and regions, in particular, with their special potential can use a wide range of experience by co-operating with the BAW institute. Consulting Company with Tradition The BAW institute was founded in 1947 by the Senate of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen as one of the first economic research institutes in the Federal Republic of Germany. Since 2005, the institute presents itself as a partnership structure in the field of private business acting as national research-based consulting company. |
